## Udaipur temperature and rainfall by month

The table below is the India Meteorological Department’s Climatological Table 1991–2020 for station 42542, Udaipur (A) (Dabok), at 508.63 m. The station is at the airport, about 24 km by road from the City Palace, so lakeside readings can differ a little. The full table is in [the IMD PDF](https://imdpune.gov.in/library/public/Climatological%20Tables%201991-2020.pdf) (table page 387, PDF pages 807–808). We read it as a page image.

The same table gives a record high of 46.4 °C (31 May 1983) and a record low of −1.3 °C (1 January 1991). Its wettest 24 hours was 225.8 mm on 30 June 1983. Records run over the whole observation record, not only 1991–2020. June to September adds up to 629.9 mm, about 93% of the annual total (our arithmetic). [Wikipedia’s Udaipur climate box](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Udaipur) shows matching maximum and record figures.

> **How to read the numbers:** A mean daily maximum is the average of each day’s top temperature, so many afternoons are hotter than it. A mean minimum is the average overnight low. For the monsoon months in more detail, see [Udaipur in the monsoon](https://hotelrudrakripa.com/monsoon-in-udaipur).
